About Me

My photo
I am a young aspiring photographer in the Midwest. I love being outside either mountain biking down a rough muddy single track or snowboarding down a mountain with fresh new powder. I love laughing and being spontaneous. Horses are a new passion of mine and I hope to show someday soon. But my deep deep passion since I was little is photography. I love to take pictures of anything from morning dew on red satin roses to big ole muddy Ford trucks boggin through the mud. I love wildlife photography as well as model/portrait photography. I also photograph families, engagements/couples, weddings and maturity. You name it, I probably like taking pictures of it. Just ask! :)

Magnetic Island March 29, 2009

Here are some pictures from Magnetic Island. It was pretty awesome! I will have a more detailed description in my other blog. Enjoy!

Picnic Bay

I like how there is light on one side and darkness on the other side. Kinda made me think it could be seen as a hidden message between good and evil, the light vs. the dark.

Again with the light and dark; the water under the dock is dirty but the water that goes on forever looks pure and blue...

Night Shots of Janet - 30/3/2009

So I finally got a tripod today and decided to play with my camera at night. I've always wanted to play around with the flash and what not, but never got around to it. So here are my attempts of model night photography. Mind you I just figured out how to do the multiple flash thing, so yeah, don't judge my photography too bad!!! :P These aren't meant to be the best of the best night shots, they are just a trial until I can figure out some more neat tricks and perfect the ones I already know. Here are my favorite and best shots of my good friend Janet that were taken tonight. These shots were taken around our dorm, Rotary International. Please comment and enjoy! Thanks! :)

Great Barrier Reef Trip 3/13-3/15

I went diving on the Great Barrier Reef with the James Cook Dive Club. Here are a few of my best pictures. This is my first time taking underwater pictures. I am shooting with a Canon G10 with an underwater housing, no strobes. Check out my other blog for more details:

Crystal Creek

Saturday Feb 28th--Crystal Creek
I am kind of rusty with my D80. Ever since I got my Canon G10 I kinda of used that everywhere I went. I am just getting settled in in Townsville, Australia, so once I figure out the best places to go I will put up a lot more pictures! Cheers! :)

Little Crystal Creek

I think this beer, XXX GOLD, is like Keystone back at home. I haven't tried it yet though. lol I just like photographing objects that look odd in the environment they're in.

My friend Cal jumping off the cliff. It is much deeper than I thought it was thank goodness!
