About Me

My photo
I am a young aspiring photographer in the Midwest. I love being outside either mountain biking down a rough muddy single track or snowboarding down a mountain with fresh new powder. I love laughing and being spontaneous. Horses are a new passion of mine and I hope to show someday soon. But my deep deep passion since I was little is photography. I love to take pictures of anything from morning dew on red satin roses to big ole muddy Ford trucks boggin through the mud. I love wildlife photography as well as model/portrait photography. I also photograph families, engagements/couples, weddings and maturity. You name it, I probably like taking pictures of it. Just ask! :)

Fixie

One of my good friends, Rob, made me a fixed gear bike. Its pretty badass! So we decided to take pictures of it somewhere interesting. So we went off the side of the road by an old barn, I think. Some say it might have been an old school house. We had a ton of people honking at us. lol anyway, I used the sunlight as the main source of light. I like natural light especially because its fall and it goes with the changing colors of the leaves. Enjoy! :)

Ole Greg Voris Had a Farm

Sunday afternoon Ben (my boyfriend) and I went down to his mom's house to celebrate his birthday, which is this Wednesday. So we drive an hour and half down passed Indy.

Needless to say, he is a country boy... He worked for his next door neighbor for six years who just so happened to be a farmer. So Benny decided to take me to see the farm he called home for the six years he worked there. Boy was it literally a farm! There were peacocks, horses, chickens, pigs, dogs/wolves and I'm sure many other little critters. The sun was begining to set and I went crazy. Even though I only took 140 pictures, which I think isn't very many in a two hour period, Farmer Greg thought it was a ton. I want to go back and take some more pictures especially at sunset. These horses were gorgeous. The brownish/red horses were Belgians and the darker horses were Percherons. He uses them for show and some farm work such as manure spreading. They're one of his "biggest" hobbies!

This little guy, only two months old, is named Bussi (i beleive). He looooooved attention and if he didn't get it 24/7 he would try to bite the hell outta ya.

This is one of my favorite pictures. -- bond between a horse and his caretaker.

Sexy Kelly

I just got a SB600 and looooooove it! So I was just playing around with it, not really doing anything in particular. I did use it off the camera though, which is pretty sweet! I know the lighting is wacky but thats what I love. I really like overexposure, it brings out a different look than the norm. Enjoy! :)

Brown County

My boyfriend Ben, and I went to Brown County State Park. It was pretty sweet, nothing too spectacular though. We found a couple sweet spots and I snapped a couple photos and viola! It was later in the day and the sun was shinning just right through the trees! But funny story actually. Before we went to the state park, we went to a little town right there. They were having a festival. There were a lot of little shops with nick nacks and flower, fudge, kitchen ware, odds and ends, you know the usual that you find in cute little towns. Well the festival consisted of an outhouse race, plunge toss and corn hole! Holy crap it was funny! These people made outhouses on wheels and raced them down a SMALL hill. It was pretty redneck! lol That was the highlight of the evening. Then we went to Brown County.

Chicago

So I went to Chicago to take some pictures of the city! It was pretty fun. We took our bikes and rode around. We went to Navy Pier also. It was kind of a cloudy day so I was disappointed with some of the pictures, but what you gonna do, right? Enjoy!

Largemouth up under that rock

My friend Michael loooooves fishing! I mean, I love fish in general, but this kid is literally obsessed! We're both fisheries majors at Purdue and work together at Purdue's Aquaculture research lab. I asked him to take me on one of his fishing adventures and here are the results!

This was a pond that Mikey <3's cuz it has his largemouth in it!

Sunrise Ohio

While we were in Ohio for Ben's gokart race and we stayed at his roommate's house. Their back yard was amazingly gorgeous, even in the evening! We were forced to get up extra early the next morning, 5am. I walked down stairs and looked outside. We saw an amazing view of the trees and fog. We were so high up you could even see electrical towers in the distance. The fog added a sweet effect as well! I'd have to say these turned out really good for my first sunrise pictures! This was also random by the way. I never really intended to take these pictures, I saw and I clicked!
